Sampling of Completed Projects

We have assisted clients in many General Operations and Marketing engagements.  A sampling of our completed projects is provided below.

General Operations

Performance Review Process Update

On behalf of a client, GOOD MOOD revised the existing performance review process for senior staff.  The client requested a something more streamlined to make the process less time consuming and onerous for executive management while still meaningful for employees.  After engaging in an iterative process with the client, we developed a quarterly review process in place of an annual one and condensed the original multi-page review document into a single page which captured the most relevant metrics and measures against prescribed goals.

Development and Documentation of Hiring Procedures

On behalf of a small growing company, we developed a Hiring Procedures Guide to document end-to-end requirements to complete a hire.  The company was experiencing higher than desired employee turnover due to misalignment of skills to roles and wanted to improve the recruiting and vetting process to find candidates that that were a better fit for the organization.  The completed Guide encompassed gaining headcount approval from management through on-boarding of new hires.  It detailed directions on defining position responsibilities, determining appropriate compensation, proper interview procedures and documentation requirements with a focus on vetting technical skills objectively.  GOOD MOOD provided a checklist of items to help lead hiring managers through the process and ensure all items are completed.

Implementation of Time Management System

On behalf of a small company, we evaluated several cloud based time management systems that track and manage requests and approvals for employee time-off.  At the time, the company was using a combination of printed forms, spreadsheets and emails to administer this process which was becoming cumbersome to manage as the company grew. GOOD MOOD determined the best system for the client's needs and oversaw the implementation process for the company.  The implementation included compilation and verification of the existing time-off information and subsequent migration to the new cloud system.  Once the data migration was completed, GOOD MOOD set-up the appropriate time-off settings for each employee and quality checked each account to ensure that it was functioning correctly.

Marketing Operations

Rebranding

On behalf of a client, GOOD MOOD managed a full-scale rebranding of a subsidiary and subsequent re-launch to the industry as part of an initiative to take the company from a regional player to a national brand.  Project entailed identifying a new name, developing the brand and positioning, logo and website design, creating sales support collateral and developing rebrand launch announcements to be sent to customers. GOOD MOOD oversaw coordination between various vendors and internal client resources as part of a multi-phase engagement.  We served as point for founders to provide feedback on deliverables and managed expectations on both sides.  The new brand and website launched to the market within specified timeframe.

Brand Positioning Development and Competitive Analysis

On behalf of an early stage start-up, GOOD MOOD developed a formal brand positioning that included an analysis of competitor positioning.  Working through the many aspects of growing an idea into a business, the founders did not have the time to devote to marketing and branding when the company first started.  As the company grew and competitors entered the market, they realized the need to invest in more structure around marketing efforts.  GOOD MOOD was engaged to create a Positioning Document that defined the brand, the service, the target audience and the various benefits and attributes of the brand and service from which the company could author Marketing content and customer communications.  In addition, GOOD MOOD provided a Competitive Positioning Analysis that determined the best strategy for the client to distinguish their brand and service from each competitor.  With these basic building blocks in place, the client is able to communicate to the market and customers with a consistent message and voice.

Development of Product Information and Specification Templates

On behalf of a small company, GOOD MOOD developed brochure templates for product information and technical specifications. The clients desired two separate templates where one would focus on informing customers about product benefits and features while the other would provide specification details.  The client required the templates to look professionally designed but created in MS Word so they could be updated and maintained by non-designers.  GOOD MOOD created templates that met client needs for usage but also showed a strong design relationship to other assets to maintain continuity for product branding.
